Dr. Bakula Patel, PT, DPT

Dr. Bakula Patel is a licensed physical therapist by the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy. She received a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy degree from the State University of New York-Health Science Center in Brooklyn. She got her Doctorate in Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

She has extensive experience working with children and adults with a variety of diagnoses such as neurological, learning and developmental disabilities, attention deficit disorder/attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autistic spectrum disorder, Down’s Syndrome, genetic disorders, orthopedic conditions and physical disabilities. Her experience includes managing an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic. In the field of pediatric physical therapy, she has many years of experience working in various settings such as school settings, outpatient physical therapy clinics and home settings as an early intervention therapist.

Dr. Bakula Patel specializes in all aspects of pediatric therapy such as school-based therapy, early intervention, orthopedic and neurological. She works with infants through school age (3-18 years old) individuals both individually and as a member of a multidisciplinary child study team. She collaborates with teachers, parents, other related service therapists and administrators to help children learn and thrive within the home and school environment as well as the community.
